Kristin Fisher joined the CNN Space and Defense Correspondent team on July 20, 2021. As a correspondent she is responsible for covering all aspects of space, from NASA and the newly created Space Force, to commercial space firms and the emergence of space tourism. Kristin's parents were both NASA astronauts. Kristin spent her childhood in space, and she has since worked as a White House reporter for FOX News reporting on the Trump and Biden Administrations on space issues. Over the course of that time she covered the presidential 2020 campaign, two impeachment trial and two attempts to prevent the pandemic coronavirus, in addition to two distinct administrations' efforts. Kristin traveled frequently, and both with the vice president and president. The reporter even took an extremely secret trip to Afghanistan along with Donald Trump. Before joining the network in, Kristin spent nearly a decade advancing in local TV news stations in Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she won an Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the city's CBS affiliate. Kristin began Field Mouse Films with her expertise behind the camera in 2014. The company specialized in making documentary films for corporate clients which included Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin holds a Bachelor's degree of journalism at Boston University. Kristin is married with a daughter, and her 3-year-old daughter in Washington, D.C.
